Haverhill police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who crashed into a car on the opposite side of the street and then went on to hit three parked cars Monday night in downtown Haverhill.

Haverhill Deputy Police Chief Stephen J. Doherty Jr. told WHAV the driver of a Chevrolet truck was driving west around 8 p.m., on Essex Street, passed a car turning left onto Granite Street and struck a Chevy Malibu traveling in the opposite direction. The truck went on to hit three parked vehicles.

“The operator of truck fled the scene on foot,” said Doherty. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Patrolman David Steed by emailing [email protected] or calling 978 373-1212, ext. 1304.
