A Haverhill woman was recently named chief financial officer at Urban College of Boston, a private, nonprofit two-year college.
Erline Tanice, a community college graduate herself, previously served as the finance director at Commonwealth Corporation and bring both financial leadership expertise and a commitment to the community.

Tanice is a member of the City of Somerville Museum Council, board of directors of the Salvation Army Massachusetts division and board member and treasurer of EDEN, a Boston-based nonprofit that aims to break the cycle of homelessness and multigenerational poverty. She received her associate degree in computer information systems from Bunker Hill Community College, and bachelor’s in corporate finance and accounting and master of business association, at Bentley University.
