Haverhill’s Tattersall Farm hosts stargazing Sunday night to provide locals with an opportunity to explore the night sky, particularly the moon.

Attention will be on the many craters, mountains and other surface phenomena of the moon, which guests can view using the telescopes provided by three local amateur astronomers. To preserve the night vision of other attendees, guests are asked not to use flashlights or flash photography. Attendees can follow the red glowsticks from the parking lot to reach the observation area. Bug spray is recommended.

The event is Sunday, July 14, at 8 p.m. at Tattersall Farm, 542 N. Broadway. Those interested in attending are advised to check the Tattersall Farm page on Facebook the day of the event for confirmation.

In keeping with Tattersall Farm’s policy, dogs are prohibited.
