Groveland is beginning a curbside compost program in collaboration with Black Earth Compost.

The program starts Wednesday, July 24, and aims to take food waste from residents and businesses, which makes up nearly 40 percent of our waste stream, and recycle them into high-quality compost to grow more food.

Black Earth Compost will collect bins on Wednesdays. Residents may sign up for weekly collection services for $114.99 every six months, or for every other week collection services for $89.99 every six months. Residents who enroll in the program will receive a voucher for a free bag of high-quality compost.

Residents who are interested in signing up for the program may register online.
