Plaistow Police Welcomes Officers Merwarth, Ventullo and Medvecky

The Plaistow Police Department recently swore in Officers Colten Merwarth, Ryan Ventullo and Christian Medvecky.

Merwarth and Ventullo will be going to the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training July 29 for 16-weeks, followed by a 12-week field training program.

Merwarth is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, squad leader of the of the Combined Anti Armor Team section. He also attended the Northampton Community College where he graduated in Automotive. Ventullo is a sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard and his assignment is that of the 11 Bravo Infantryman with the A scout platoon.

Medvecky is a Massachusetts certified police officer who recently served Lawrence as a patrolman on the midnight shift for 10 months. He attended Northern Essex Community College where he earned his criminal justice associates degree. He will not be required to attend the police academy as he is already certified, but will go through a law package process and a modified field training program. He is anticipated on the streets solo within the next 60 days.
