The Atkinson Women’s Civic Club is calling all runners to “Run with heart, give with purpose” as it brings back the Atkinson 5K race.
Besides the 5K, there is a children’s fun run just before the event. T-Shirts are free for those registering on or before Aug. 12. The race takes place Saturday, Sept. 7, beginning at 9:15 a.m. and ending at 11, at Woodlock Park. The run kick-offs Atkinson Day, a community-wide celebration.
Participation is $35, increasing to $40 on Sept. 3. Race day registration is allowed. Net proceeds benefit St. Anne’s and St. Luke’s food pantries.
