Pollard School students in Plaistow, N.H., are among those participating in “Drawn to the Music” in April.

The annual event by the New Hampshire Philharmonic brings in students from across New Hampshire to present their interpretations of music through their drawings. There is also a Touch an Instrument after the concert.

The concert features Copland’s Appalachian Spring match to student drawings. It begins with the Barber of Seville Overture by Rossini; continues with Sarasate’s Navarra, a violin duet featuring orchestra violinist Aniko Geladze and conductor Mark Latham; special soloist, Evan Huang, playing the Maestoso of Chopin’s Piano Concerto; and Dances from Estancia by Ginastera.

The event takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 16, 2 p.m., at Seifert Performing Arts Center at Salem High School, 44 Geremonty Drive, Salem, N.H. Tickets are available online and there are streaming options available.
