Haverhill Rep. Andy X. Vargas is moderating a panel during this Thursday’s “Amplify Latinx” Fifth Annual PowerUp 5.0 Business Summit.
Vargas is scheduled to moderate “Connecting the Dots: Moving Forward Towards a Rapid Recovery.” Panelists include state Sen. Lydia Edwards, chair of the Small Business Committee, and Rep. Frank Moran, whose seat covers Lawrence, Methuen and Andover.
The U.S Latinx market generates $2.8 trillion in gross domestic product per year, which makes U.S. Latinos the fifth largest economy in the world if the segment were a country, larger than the GDPs of the United Kingdom, India, or France.
The summit takes place Thursday, Nov. 3, from 3-9 p.m., at WBUR CitySpace at Boston University, 890 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Tickets are $25. Register here.
