Groveland’s Langley-Adams Library is celebrating Halloween with a virtual presentation on the history of Halloween.

The program takes place tonight, Oct. 31, from 7-8 p.m., online. Participants get to explore the cross-cultural origins of Halloween and how it has translated into a month long extravaganza featuring haunted houses, hayrides and more.

Historian and American history teacher Jo Ann Tufo is leading the program. Tufo specializes in American cultural practices and celebrations and was previously the director of a large “Haunted Mansion” Halloween event in Philadelphia for almost a decade.
