Lawrence General Hospital received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for spring 2022.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on prevention of medical errors and harms to patients. The grading system is peer-reviewed, transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated biannually in the fall and spring.

“This prestigious Leapfrog ‘A’ reflects the Lawrence General team’s outstanding commitment to health, safety and quality improvements for our patients,” said Lawrence General President and CEO Deborah J. Wilson. “The pandemic certainly tested all of us and this Leapfrog ‘A’ is a testament to the fact that no matter the challenges, our Lawrence General team remains steadfastly dedicated to providing outstanding care to the people we serve from across of the Merrimack Valley and beyond.”

The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
