Veterans Northeast Outreach Center is set to host the first of what it expects will be annual car shows to support veterans’ needs.

Veterans Northeast Outreach Center; Mass Tuning, the largest automotive community in New England; and Northern Essex Community College combine forces to present the event, which welcomes cars of all makes, models and years. It takes place Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill.

“Every day is an opportunity to do great things,” said Veterans Northeast Executive Director Scott Forbes. “As a non-profit organization, much of VNEOC’s funding is received through federal and state grant awards. However, our mission cannot succeed without the support of our community partners,” he added.

Those who would like to showcase their vehicle are welcome. There are fees of $10 to show a car or motorcycle or $20 to show and be eligible for awards. The show is free for spectators.

Veterans Northeast Outreach Center is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is ending veteran homelessness and providing supportive services to set veterans up for success. Services include housing support with case management, helping Veterans with employment rather than finding jobs, working with veterans to assemble a resume, financial workshops and more.

Proceeds from the car show will directly benefit the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center. Businesses, and those who would like to be a sponsor or make a donation towards the car show may email the fundraising committee at [email protected]. Besides sponsorships, donations of raffle items are also being collected.
