Energy North Group, which owns Haffner’s brand gas stations and car washes, raised $101,415 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during its annual St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock fundraiser

The company’s 18th consecutive campaign helps pay for research and care for those living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases, as well as to fund children’s time at MDA Summer Camp.

“This is an initiative that brings people together for good,” said Energy North Group Executive Vice President Pat O’Connell. “The MDA makes a tremendous difference in the lives of all those affected by neuromuscular diseases. Thank you to all our Energy North Group, Haffner’s and Tradewinds colleagues and community members who came together to make this donation a reality.”

The MDA’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock fundraiser takes place each year in March. Energy North Group, Haffner’s and Tradewinds gas stations, car washes and convenience stores had MDA Shamrocks available to purchase as direct donations. The company also donated $2 for every car wash purchased.
