A 45-year-old Andover man died early Sunday morning after a rollover crash on Interstate 93 in Andover.
Massachusetts State Police from the Andover Barracks were dispatched at 4:22 a.m. to the scene of a single car rollover crash on I-93 north at mile marker 36.7, south of Dascomb Road in Andover. Troopers said the vehicle went off the roadway to the right and rolled over into the wood line and they found a man, whose identity has not yet been released, trapped with serious trauma.
Troopers were assisted on scene by Andover Fire and EMS, as well as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
The first and second travel lanes were closed during the investigation. The crash remains under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Essex County State Police Detective Unit.
