Ruth’s House, which provides clothing and employment training opportunities to individuals and families in need, is seeking donations to pay for its holiday support programs for seniors, children and others.

Executive Director Amy Smith-Boden said Ruth’s House has set a goal of $50,000 to replace income from events cancelled because of pandemic restrictions on social gatherings. Without additional financial support, the organization fears it will reach far fewer individuals and families at a time when needs are the greatest.

Donations to the campaign, called #HelpingOthers2020, may be online at ruthshouse.org or by sending checks to Ruth’s House, 111 Lafayette Square, Haverhill.

Among charitable offerings by Ruth’s House are the Senior Coat Program, Family and Individual Clothing Program and Children’s Reading Program that rewards children who read five books with free books and a gift certificate.

Its Thrift Shop is also stocked with games, books, toys and craft supplies priced from 50 cents to $5 dollars for gift-giving.
