I-495 Construction Update: State Plans Daytime Lane Closures for Bridge-Related Work

The $102 million twin bridge replacement project along I-495 in Haverhill calls for daytime lane closures this week.

Officials from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said drivers should expect single right lane closures on I-495 north, between exits 48 and 50, Monday, Dec. 7 through Thursday, Dec. 10, from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. The lane closures are necessary for pier protection barrier work.

There will also be single right lane closures on the southbound sides, between exits 50 and 49, on Wednesday, Dec. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The closures are necessary for work on granite edging and raised median islands.
