I-495 Construction Update: Westgate Center Northbound Ramp to Close Several Nights

The Haverhill I-495 northbound exit ramp for Westgate Center is closed several nights this week as part of the $102 million bridge replacement project.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation says exit 49 is closed Sunday, Oct. 4, through Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 10 p.m.-5 a.m., the following morning. Motorists are asked to use exit 50 instead.

There will also be single right lane closures between exits 48 and 49 from Sunday, Oct. 4, through Tuesday, Oct. 6, beginning each night from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. the following morning.

During the day, there are single right lane closures on I-495 northbound, between exits 48 and 50, daily from Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for bridge approach work.

Single right lane closures are also planned on the southbound lane, between exits 50 and 49, daily from Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. , for drainage work.
