There will be a daytime, northbound lane closure, and southbound shoulder closures along I-495 in Haverhill, beginning Tuesday, as the $102 million bridge replacement project continues.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said a single right lane closure takes place between exits 49 and 50, Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., each day. The lane closures are necessary for pier protection barrier work.
There will also be shoulder closures Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 11, from 6 a.m.-2: p.m., each day. The right shoulder closes southbound between exits 50 and 49 and the left shoulder closes on the ramps for exits 50 and 49. The shoulder work is required for survey work and pavement saw cutting.
