It has taken some time, along with lots of caution and imagination, but Buttonwoods Museum in Haverhill is starting to resume programming following its’ annual winter “time off” and then the coronavirus shutdown.

Museum Curator Janice Williams was a guest, yesterday on WHAV’s Morning Program, and explained, during the first step, the exhibits are moving outdoors

“On Friday, we have planned a tour of the Bradford Burial Ground at one o’clock. And next Tuesday, the 21st, we are going to have a tour of the Pentucket Burial Ground,” she said.

Yesterday, Buttonwoods conducted a tour of Linwood Cemetery, and this afternoon at 1, a tour guide takes visitors around the historic Bradford Common. Pre-registration is necessary by contacting the museum at 978-374-4626 or emailing [email protected]

Williams added some tours will have the information printed in brochures that are available in the Buttonwoods Museum gift shop once the physical building reopens. There are also self-guided tours and information available on the website HaverhillHistory.org.
