Keilan Romito of Boxford is this year’s recipient of the Robert Gablosky Memorial Scholarship from the Greater Haverhill Arts Association.

Romito is receiving $1,000 after scholarship committee members said they were “greatly impressed by her talent and focus and creative process.”

The award is usually given in person during the Greater Haverhill Arts Association Annual Student Art Exhibit at Buttonwoods Museum in May. The event, however, was cancelled because of the current pandemic.

Robert J. Gablosky founded the Greater Haverhill Arts Association in 1971 and served as its first president. He was a respected teacher at the Haverhill High School and taught art privately. Holly McGrath of Haverhill received the first award in 2017 followed by Jordan Earley of North Andover in 2018 and Nicholas D’Alessandro in 2019.
