Kathleen Katrinelis was re-elected and Jason E. Naves is joining the Groveland Board of Selectman following Monday’s election.

Katrinelis garnered 530 votes, while Naves received 313 and goes on to replace William F. Dunn, who was first elected in 2014. Dunn chose not seek re-election and resigned last month. Naves is member of the town’s Open Space and Trails Committee.

Falling short in their respective bids for selectman were Debra J. Young, who received 287 votes, and Daniel Stewart, who received 154 votes.

The unusual election—coming after traditional balloting was delayed last month because of COVID-19—saw few contested races.

In the only other contested race—for the Groveland Housing Authority—Kathleen M. Prunier was re-elected to a five-year board term. She received 381 votes to 276 votes for Jay A. Collins.

This year’s Groveland Town Meeting takes place next Monday, June 22, 7 p.m., at the Dr. Elmer S. Bagnall Elementary School, 253 School St.
