What could be Haverhill’s fifth adult-use marijuana store—proposed for 1181 Boston Road in Ward Hill—goes before the public next Monday night.

The developers of what would be called “Frosty Nug” plan a required community outreach meeting June 1 at 6 p.m. Unlike others who pitched proposals before the current health pandemic, the hearing will take place online. The Boston Road site has been used for many years as a used car dealership.

This is the first step in the process and no approvals will be requested or granted at the meeting. The company must obtain a special permit from the Haverhill City Council, a host agreement from Mayor James J. Fiorentini and permission from the state Cannabis Control Commission before it may begin operating.

Company representatives, who spoke with WHAV at previous meetings, were looking for local sites as early as two years ago.

Frosty Nug’s local presenters include attorney Michael Migliori, architect Matthew Juros and Kristyn Pistone, all of Haverhill. Juros of Fishbrook Design Studio, previously worked on designs for Mellow Fellows, Amesbury Road.

Pistone, who operates Pistone Foot Center in Bradford, is Frosty Nug’s chief marketing officer, according to the company’s website. She is expected to be joined by Chairman Jack Hudson, CEO Dominick Garibaldi, President and CFO Mike Gettings and Chief Operations Officer Brian Belts in a discussion of dispensary operations, community commitment, prevention of product diversion and benefits to the city.

Other presenters are expected to include traffic consultant Scott Thornton of Vanasse & Associates, Andover, and security consultant Brendan Cavanaugh of CGL Security, Westwood.

Others previously granted special permits from the City Council are Stem, 124 Washington St., Full Harvest Moonz, 101 Plaistow Road, CNA Stores, 558 River St.; and Mellow Fellows, 330 Amesbury Road.
