The Rocks Village Drawbridge over the Merrimack River closes completely Monday to complete repairs and detours will be in effect.
Massachusetts Department of Transportation said the bridge, that spans East Main Street in Haverhill and Bridge Street in West Newbury, will be closed to traffic from May 18 to June 3 and the movable span will also be out of service.
Traffic will be detoured over the Bates Bridge, along Routes 97 and 113, in Groveland.
The overhead truss on the movable span was struck and damaged by an over-height vehicle last July 5, and again this past January. The damaged structural steel members are being repaired.
