Haverhill’s Conversation Café, aimed at bridging political divides locally, switches to a virtual format beginning tonight.

Tonight’s event, “Community Check-in During These Challenging Times,” is limited to 21 participants and begins at 7 p.m. using the Zoom platform. To register, visit the Haverhill Public Library events page at haverhillpl.org. All registrants must hold a library card in one of the surrounding library systems.

While Conversation Café brings discussion of potentially polarizing topics, organizers say “the underlying objective is to encourage intentional listening, nurture compassion and to capitalize on what we have in common rather than what divides us.”
