WHAV’s Community Spotlight is turning its microphones to those civic and charitable organizations that make Greater Haverhill a wonderful place to live.

The Haverhill Kiwanis Club serves the community through service and fundraising projects. The club is a part of the global organization, Kiwanis International, consisting of volunteers who “help feed the hungry, care for the sick, shelter the homeless and educate the disenfranchised.”

Chartered in 1923, the Haverhill Kiwanis Club has grown to become a valuable resource by raising thousands of dollars through annual events and fundraisers such as its annual Golf Classic, Valentine Raffle and rubber turkey drop. The club meets Tuesdays at noon, at Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane, Haverhill.
