Resurfacing of Interstate 495 through Lawrence, North Andover and Andover begins next Monday during daytime hours.
The state Department of Transportation said the project is part of $21.1 million in scheduled maintenance and is expected to be completed before summer.
As part of the work, there will be lane and ramp closures on I-495 northbound and southbound, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Officials say a minimum of two lanes of travel will be open at all times. Detours will be in place for any ramp closures. Work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
