Travel lanes on I-495, one each both north and south, will be closed today while workers extend a temporary barrier northbound to River Street and southbound to the Ward Hill Connector.

The right lanes between exits 48 and 49 north and a single left southbound lane between exits 48 and 50 in Haverhill close during daytime hours. The single right lane on I-495 north is expected to close between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., while a single left lane on I-495 south closes between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The project is part of the $102 million bridge replacement project.
