A 9-year-old was treated at a local hospital for apparent minor injuries after being struck by an automobile Wednesday on Hilldale Avenue.
Haverhill Police Capt. Stephen J. Doherty Jr. told WHAV it appears the child ran into traffic and no charges were filed against the driver.
The accident took place around lunch time on Hilldale Avenue near Lafayette Square and Broadway. Police temporarily closed the street to tend to the youth.
