A single, right lane on I-495 northbound closes during daytime commutes tomorrow through Thursday for bridge-related work.

The state Department of Transportation says the right lane between exits 48 and 49 will close from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. as work continues on the $102 million twin bridge replacement and emergency repairs on the Ward Hill Connector.

Officials say the closure is required for bridge pier barrier work near the Ward Hill Connector overpass. A month ago, officials reported the eight-month closure of the left lane of the Ward Hill Connector bridge over I-495, reporting the deteriorated concrete substructure.
