Rabbi Rachel Isaacs and Dr. David Bernat present “Understanding Antisemitism and Harnessing Your Voice to Confront It” to help address antisemitism on Sunday, March 22.

Historical and contemporary manifestations of antisemitism, strategies for facing it in our day to day lives are shared during the workshop at Temple Emanu-El of Haverhill. Isaacs will apply material from her college course, “Public Speaking for Social Change,” to help confront and address antisemitism.

“In a time of rising antisemitism, both here and abroad, it’s critical for local communities to come together in person to learn shoulder-to-shoulder about antisemitism’s roots and how to most effectively combat such bigotry.” said Cantor Vera Broekhuysen, spiritual leader of Temple Emanu-El.

The free event begins at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast, followed by the workshop at 10 a.m., at Temple Emanu-El, 514 Main St., Haverhill. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, March 18.
