Richard M. Whitehouse Jr., 73, of Newton, N.H., died Sunday morning, Feb. 9. He was born in Haverhill, Aug. 19, 1946 and educated in the Haverhill school system, graduating from Haverhill High School with the class of 1964. Whitehouse served active duty in the United States Army, stationed in Korea, serving as a medic and reserve duty until his honorable discharge in 1972. A long-time member of the Portland Street Baptist Church, Haverhill, he served on several committees as treasurer with his wife. Whitehouse was also one of the founders of the Haverhill Little League where he volunteered as a coach. Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 4-7 p.m. at H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Bradford. The funeral is Thursday morning, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
