A new group is aiming to bridge the nation’s political divide—at least locally.

The first Haverhill Conversation Café takes place Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 7-8:30 p.m., at Haverhill Public Library auditorium, 99 Main St. The theme is “We Need to Talk: Crossing the Political Divide.” All Conversation Cafés are free and open to the public. Organizers says every viewpoint is welcomed and will be heard.

Conversation Cafés offer a safe place and a structured environment in which to share your opinions and listen to the views of others. Sign-up at haverhillpl.org or visit the Facebook page Conversation Café of Essex County for more information.
