Allen F. DeMarco, 83, of Hampstead, N.H., and formerly of Haverhill, died Saturday night, Jan. 25, at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, N.H. He was born in Haverhill, Dec. 5, 1936, son of the late James and Beulah (Silloway) DeMarco and was educated in the Haverhill school system. During the Korean War he served with the United States Army. Upon being honorably discharged, DeMarco was employed as a truck driver for over 45 years until his retirement. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
Rita G. (Piccirillo) Grenier, 87, of Plaistow, N.H., died peacefully Jan. 29, at High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill, with her family by her side. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Generoso and Christina (Carapucci) Piccirillo and was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating from Haverhill High School with the class of 1950. She worked as a seasonal tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service and previously, she worked in the local shoe industry, at W. T. Grant and was a regional award-winning party planner for Tupperware products. Calling hours are Monday, Feb. 3, from 5-8 p.m., at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, N.H. Her funeral takes place Tuesday, Feb. 4, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial follows at St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
Kenrick Holden Jr., 79, of Groveland, died Thursday night, Jan. 30, at Wingate in Haverhill. For more than 40 years he was a professor at Northern Essex Community College from where he retired. While at the college, he was instrumental in starting the nursing program. Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 7, from 4-7 p.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His celebration of life takes place Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2:30, at Groveland Congregational Church, 4 King St., Groveland. Lillian P. (Cronin) Lupi, 93, of Haverhill, wife of the late Ernest M. Lupi, passed away Jan. 30, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, surrounded by her family.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary T. (Kiely) Cronin. She was a life-long resident of Haverhill and with her husband Ernest, brought her family up in Acre part of the city. She was employed as an office administrator for Lesande Shoe and worked at the former Western Electric. Calling hours are Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 4-7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services begin Wednesday morning in the funeral home at 9, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill at 10. Burial follows in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.
Shirley L. (Mason) Senter, 99, of Plaistow, N.H., died Jan. 29, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Atkinson, N.H., daughter of the late Carlisle and Susie (Bickford) Mason, she attended Atkinson schools and graduated from Atkinson Academy with the class of 1938. Senter was the former co-owner of Senter Auto Supply of Plaistow, N.H., with her late husband Wilfred C. Senter. Funeral services are private with burial following in Atkinson Cemetery.
