Groveland Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and arresting a man who posed as an account holder at two area banks and fraudulently withdrew thousands of dollars in cash.

Police Chief Jeffrey T. Gillen said Wednesday the man allegedly went into bank branches in Groveland and Haverhill in mid-November, posed as an account holder and withdrew $4,500 on two separate occasions, getting away with $9,000.

Police provided a bank surveillance photograph that appears to show an older, white male, with brownish-gray hair. The man wears a blue “Cowboys” jacket, gray pants, white sneakers with purple trim and a baseball cap with sunglasses over the visor.

Anyone with information or recognizes the man are asked to contact Groveland Police Detective Joshua Sindoni at 978-521-1212.
