Joanne (DelBene) Champey, 75, passed away Jan. 26 at Prescott House in North Andover. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended St. James Grammar School and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1963. Champey was employed as a receptionist with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She was a foster parent to many children over the years and was known for her loving and giving heart. With her husband, they were Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Acevedo House in Methuen for many years. They posed for photographs and all donations went to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
Anthony J. Montisanti, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 25, at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill. Born in Haverhill, June 11, 1926, Montisanti was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from the former Haverhill Trade School, class of 1944. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy, was employed for more than 37 years for Merit Gas Stations and was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Church. His Funeral is Friday morning, Jan. 31, beginning at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John The Baptist Church, Haverhill. Burial is in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
Alayah Noel Rowe, 3, passed away Jan. 25, at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill after fighting a courageous battle with cerebral palsy. Born in Boston, March 16, 2016, she was the light of the family. Despite her illness, she overcame her struggles and showed everyone around her what true strength was. Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Burial is private.
