Haverhill Public Meetings This Week: Conservation Commission Hears Home Garage Addition Request

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Haverhill Conservation Commission meets Thursday night to determine whether its rules apply to construction of a home garage addition, planned for North Broadway.

Commissioners will rule on the request for “determination of applicability” from Francis George for 666 North Broadway. The meeting takes place at 7:15 p.m., in room 301 of Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St.

Thursday, Jan. 2

The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission Executive Director Finalists and Screening Committee plans to vote on recommendations to fill the vacancy of executive director. Executive Director Karen Sawyer Conard is leaving the post to become Portsmouth, N.H.’s next city manager. The committee meets at 11 a.m., at the Commission’s offices, 160 Main St.

Haverhill Housing Authority holds its regular meeting at 4 p.m., at the Housing Authority’s offices at 25-C Washington Square. Agenda items include window replacement change orders and certificate of substantial completion of building façade renovations.
