Today’s Obituaries—Dec. 26: Doucette, Murphy

Lisa J. (Foster) Doucette, 54, of Haverhill, died Saturday, Dec. 21, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her family. She was born in Haverhill, Oct. 4, 1965, daughter of the late Robert and Joanne (Choate) Foster. Educated in the Haverhill school system, she earned her associate degree from Northern Essex Community College. She was employed as a nurse’s aide, office manager for Dr. Swanson, and as a phlebotomist. More recently, for the past three years, Doucette owned and operated Lisa Doucette’s Family Home Day Care, from her home. Calling hours are Saturday, Dec. 28, from 11 a.m-2 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family.

Mary P. (Hanagan) Murphy, 88, a longtime resident of Atkinson, died peacefully Dec. 23, at Windham Terraces, surrounded by her family. Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late George and Helen (Driscoll) Hanagan, she was raised and educated in the Bradford section and was a member of the Haverhill High School class of 1949. Moving to Atkinson in 1958, Murphy worked as a teacher’s aide at Atkinson Academy and was a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish and the former Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 27, from 5-8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Atkinson Cemetery.
