Plaistow, N.H., firefighters last week doubled as storks, helping to deliver a new baby at the fire station.

About seven minutes after a couple came to the station Thursday morning, a healthy baby boy was born. Although the patient was quickly placed onto a stretcher and Trinity EMS was notified, there was no time to travel to the hospital. Aiding in the delivery were Capts. Scott Vezina and Ryan Higgins, Deputy John Judson and firefighters/EMT’s Derek Travers and Aaron Judson.

After delivery, both patients were taken by Trinity to a local hospital for further care.
