Whittier Tech Chrous Performs Holiday Songs for the Public Thursday Night

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School’s chorus performs a number of holiday songs Thursday night during a free concert, open to the public.

The 24-member chorus will be accompanied by student and faculty musicians playing guitars, keyboards and drums at 7 p.m., in the school Auditorium, 115 Amesbury Line Road, Haverhill

“There is some beautiful music being made,” said Linda Urban, music director at Whittier. “And we invite everyone to come out and join us. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the holiday spirit.”

Selections will include: “Carol of the Bells,” “Wonderful Life,” “Corner of the Sky,” “Million Dreams,” “We Dance,” “What the World Needs Now is Love,” “Christmas Eve,” “Christmas Canon,” “The World for Christmas,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”

“Our Chorus has worked hard to learn and practice these songs, and their concert this Thursday will be a wonderful way to celebrate the winter holidays,” Superintendent Lynch said.

Members of the chorus include freshmen students Madison Jameson of Haverhill, Norah Moore of Haverhill, Jennifer Mijangos of Haverhill, Patrick Kelleher of Amesbury and Destiny Duston of Merrimac; sophomore students Ana Barrera of Haverhill, Liz Brea of Haverhill, David Barreto of Haverhill, Wyatt Dauphinais of Haverhill, Kayla Dube of Salisbury and Isabella Gallagher of Merrimac; junior students Adriana Byrne of Haverhill, Arianna Connor of Haverhill, Edward Gregoire of Haverhill, MacKenzie Harris of Haverhill, Tabitha McMinniman of Haverhill, Alexis Smith of Haverhill, Candace Walker of Haverhill and Ryan Bresnahan of Amesbury; and senior students Hannah Bourque of Haverhill, Hayley Bourque of Haverhill, Neiyelis Vazquez of Haverhill, Zacharay DePaolo of Newburyport and Alliana Fennelly of Salisbury.

Musicians accompanying the students include Urban on piano, special education teacher Mike Rugello on drums, special education teacher Donald Pierce on guitar, senior student Gareth Chamberlain of Amesbury on bass and junior student Wallace Ziehler of Newbury on bass.
