Today’s Obituaries—Nov. 21: Minichiello, Mooney, Tilden

Dr. Philip “Phil” Minichiello, of Bedford, N.H., formerly of Haverhill, and Newton Junction, N.H., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Bedford Hills Center following a long illness. A graduate of Boston College and Georgetown University School of Dentistry, he earned the status of Fellow from the Academy of General Dentistry and was a lifelong member of the Merrimack Valley Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Society. He also served two years in the Army Dental Corp. When not practicing dentistry, he was involved in many other activities serving as King Lion for the Haverhill Lions Club, a director on the board of the Haverhill Historical Society and the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and president of the Wilders Grove Camp Owners Association. Visiting hours are Friday, Nov. 22, at Driscoll Funeral Home 309 S. Main St., Haverhill, from 4-7: p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Haverhill, at 10 a.m. Meet directly at the church. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.

Michael David Mooney, 26, of Haverhill, died Monday, Nov. 18. He was the son of Greg and Babette Mooney, attended Haverhill elementary schools and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, graduating with the class of 2011. He was employed by Cassidy Brothers Forge of Rowley as a sandblaster and ornamental metal installer. Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 22, from 4-7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are h Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 8:30 a.m., at Crossroads Church, 43 Atwood Road, Pelham, N.H. Burial follows in Oakdale Cemetery, Maple Street, Middleton.

Edward T. Tilden, 94, died unexpectedly Nov. 18, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. He was educated in Malden and served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps until his honorable discharge as a PFC in 1946. For 47 years, Tilden applied his many skills to a variety of jobs—his last position as custodian for the Timberlane Regional School District. Calling hours at Riverside Church take place from 10 a.m.- noon, Saturday, Nov. 23, to be followed by a noon funeral service at Riverside Church. Interment follows at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs and Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill.
