Angela Himsel, who has released her memoir, “A River Could Be a Tree,” comes to Haverhill Sunday morning as part of Temple Emanu-El’s 2019 author series.
“A River Could Be a Tree” traces Himsel’s personal journey to Judaism. One of 11 children in a devout evangelical Christian family in rural Indiana, today she is a practicing Jew living in Manhattan.
Himsel speaks at 10 a.m., after a continental breakfast, beginning at 9:30, at Temple Emanu-El, 514 Main St., Haverhill.
A donation of $10 per person is requested. Walk-ins are welcome and copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing following the program.
