Today’s Obituaries—Nov. 8: Parker

Mary E. (Tarr) Parker, 89, wife of the late Robert E. Parker, died Nov. 7 at Lakeview House in Haverhill with her family by her side. She was a familiar face for over 20 years at Building 19 in Haverhill, working as a retail sales clerk. She volunteered at the Haverhill Citizens Center, Sacred Hearts Church and the former Hale Hospital for many years. She was also well known for playing Mrs. Claus in the Santa Parade every year. Parker volunteered with Ozzie’s Kids, an organization started by her late son, Haverhill Police Officer Ozzie Hardy. Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 11 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers. Contributions may be made in her memory to Ozzie’s Kids, c/o of N.E. Exchange, 44 Merrimack St., #213, Haverhill, MA 01832.
