Today’s Obituaries—Nov. 4: Dondero, Fuller, Gilday, James, Rubenstein

Barbara Mae (Upson) Dondero, 93, of Haverhill, died peacefully surrounded by her family in her home of 63 years. The wife of the late Thomas L. Dondero, she retired from AT&T in 1994 after 20 years as a long distance operator. Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 4-8 p.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill. Her funeral service, at the funeral home, takes place Thursday at 11 a.m. and will conclude with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford.

Jonathan D. Fuller, 44, of Bradford, died Friday, Nov. 1 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. His funeral is Tuesday, Nov. 5 beginning at 10 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. Burial is in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.

Janice (Littlejohn) Gilday, 91, a longtime resident of Haverhill, died peacefully Nov. 3 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill, surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation is Friday, Nov. 8, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill, from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service follows.

Robert Allen James, 75, of Haverhill and formerly of Rochester, N.Y., died peacefully on Oct. 30 at Wingate Residences after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He retired from Eastman Kodak in 1998 as the company’s manager of information systems. A memorial service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. It was his wish to participate in the Anatomical Gift Program at Harvard Medical School. Nancy G. (Goodwin) Rubinstein, 74, of Newburyport and formerly of Haverhill, died Nov. 3, at her residence. She worked at Emmaus in Haverhill for over 20 years, starting as a social worker and retiring as the clinical director. Rubenstein was also a member of the Newburyport Choral Society. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill.
