Today’s Obituaries—Oct. 31: Bilmazes Gerber, Mazzotta Laudani

Electra Bilmazes Gerber, 94, died Oct. 30 in Concord, N.H., after a brief illness. Born and raised in Haverhill, she graduated Boston College with graduate work at Harvard and Brandeis University and attended Middlebury College’s Breadloaf School under Robert Frost. After working in publicity for Batten, Barton, Durstine and Osborn in New York, she moved to Boston in 1960 and opened Corporate lmages, a public relations firm specializing in cultural and commercial accounts that included Copley Plaza Hotel, King Saud and Richard Burton. She also served as the press coordinator for the WGBH Channel 2 auction. At her request there will be no services.

Marilyn J. (Keenan) Mazzotta Laudani, 88, wife of Salvatore “Sam” Laudani, died at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill surrounded by her family. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was employed at the former Woolworth’s and Mitchell’s Department store in Haverhill, working as a home health aide for many years until her retirement. Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 1 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services take place Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial follows in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.
