Members of the Haverhill Police Department are getting ready to swap their badges for notepads Thursday night to take food orders at Applebee’s for a Special Olympics “Tip-a-Cop” fundraiser.
From 5-9 p.m. on Oct. 10, officers will serve as celebrity waiters and waitresses at 56 Plaistow Road. They’ll be joined by Special Olympics athletes and donate all tips they receive to the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Torch Run.
