Haverhill Police Seize 95 Grams of Suspected Fentanyl During RiversEdge Plaza Drug Arrest

Haverhill Police nabbed nearly a half-dozen people for a variety of drug and drunken driving-related offenses over the weekend, according to arrest logs obtained by WHAV.

Among the major arrests over the weekend was Officer Dana Burrill Jr.’s Friday, Sept. 20 bust at RiversEdge Plaza resulting in the arrest of 24-year-old Kevin Bello of Roslindale for fentanyl trafficking and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. Police spokesman Capt. Stephen J. Doherty Jr. tells WHAV Burrill took Bello into custody at 237 Lincoln Ave. just before 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, seizing approximately 95 grams of a “white chunk substance” believed to be fentanyl.

Several hours later, just after 5 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, Officer Dan McDonald was on patrol near the Clean Machine Car Wash at 1200 Boston Road when he arrested Mark Grant of Belmont. The 31-year-old was involved in a two-car accident and arrested and charged with one count of leaving the scene of property damage and operating under the influence of alcohol.

Friday, Sept. 20

Gregory Atkinson, 52, of 15 Village Woods Road, was arrested by Officer Conor Clark arrested at 100 Washington St. and charged with leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence of liquor.

Daniel Curtis, 32, of 36 Bellevue Ave. (last known address), and Paul Midolo, 35, Methuen, were arrested by Officer Sean Harrison at 65 Harrison St., and charged with drug possession of two large boxes of THC oil with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.

Sunday, Sept. 22

Rena Sanborn, 38, of 22 Summit Ave., was arrested by Officer John Orsillo on Highland Avenue on two outstanding drug-related warrants and a new drug possession charge.
