Drivers traveling in and around Groveland this fall should be advised the Massachusetts Department of Transportation intends to close a single lane of Route 113 (Main Street) starting this week to carry out construction work.
From 7 a.m.-4 p.m. daily through the fall, the lane closure runs from the West Newbury town line to Elm Park, MassDOT said, with a single traffic lane maintained during roadwork. Detours may be in place.
Part of a $1.2 million improvement project that includes resurfacing and safety upgrades, the project is expected to wrap up in May 2020.
