Fremont, NH: Patricia Holder (Rossetti) Gerety, 77, of Fremont, and former longtime resident of Canterbury Forest, Plaistow died peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Frank and Verne (Holder) Rossetti, she attended local schools and was a member of the Lynn English High School Class of 1960. She graduated from the Chandler School for Women with her Associates Degree. As a young woman, she served as the Youth Director at the Central Congregational Church of Lynn, MA Swampscott Congregational Church of Swampscott, MA and the Atkinson Congregational Church.

She was a resident of Plaistow from 1972 until 2012. She was a stay-at-home mom, happy homemaker and a devoted caregiver for many elderly relatives, including her own mother, Verne Rossetti. She was actively involved in the Timberlane Music Association and served as the Vice President for six years. In later years, she attended the First Congregational Church of Kingston. Mrs. Gerety was the owner and operator of Patricia’s Boutique in Plaistow, and worked and retired from the Phillips Academy in Andover as the Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs.

A resident of Black Rocks Village in Fremont for the past seven years, she was a Director of the Friends of the Fremont Public Library. A woman blessed with a “green thumb”, Mrs. Gerety enjoyed tending her flower gardens and taking care of her many houseplants. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed reading, teaching her granddaughters how to knit and crochet and was an amazing cook. Mrs. Gerety and her husband, Warren and their family enjoyed taking vacations to Kiawah Island, SC, as well as summer excursions to Booth Bay Harbor, ME, and frequent drives to North Hampton and Rye Beach.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-six years, W. Warren Gerety; two daughters, Deborah E. Hoadley and her husband, Jon F. of Freedom, NH and Donna E. Eager and her husband, George R. of Schodack, NY; three granddaughters, Rachel E. Eager, Kate E. Hoadley and Amanda R. Eager and boyfriend, Ryan Kalsher; a sister-in-law, Kathy Budzinski; a brother-in-law, Donald Gerety; her long-time best friend, Drew Bergeron and husband, Paul; and her very special pet dog, Lana.

The family would like to thank the VNA of Manchester and Southern New Hampshire and Hospice Team for the wonderful care and support given to Mrs. Gerety and her family during her illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Gerety’s Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
