Today’s Obituaries—Sept. 5: Maddocks, Mulligan, Murphy, Young

Joseph R. Maddocks, 53, died at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill Sept. 2 with his family by his side. He worked for Waste Management for many years. A calling hour takes place Saturday, Sept. 7 from 1-2 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow in the funeral home at 2 p.m.

Maureen A. Mulligan, 84, of Haverhill, died peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 3. Visitation will held Sunday, Sept. 8, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill, from 4-7 p.m. Services begin Monday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Graveside services follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Gorham Street, Lowell.

Eileen A. (Dennis) Murphy, 95, died peacefully Aug. 30 at home with her daughter Martine F. Leahy by her side. A licensed cosmetologist, Murphy was a nurse’s aide at various nursing homes in the Merrimack Valley area and retired from the Glynn Memorial Nursing Home. She also worked for Federal Credit in Haverhill for many years. Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are private.

Irene M. (Richards) Young, 79, died peacefully Sept. 2 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill. Young worked as a bookkeeper at Al Crepeau Construction and as the treasurer for the town of Groveland before retiring from Great Bay Kids Company in Exeter, N.H. Services are private, with arrangements under the direction of Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St., Haverhill.
