Get ready to get up close and personal with furry friends and then rock out at Winnekenni Castle this Labor Day weekend. The Haverhill landmark on Kenoza Avenue plans a free petting zoo and animal adventure show on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m., with a concert by the B Street Bombers on tap for Labor Day Monday, Sept. 2 from 1-4 p.m. The 11-piece Bombers band will take over the Castle lawn and patrons are invited to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the show. Food will be available for purchase. Both events are free but $5 suggested donations are accepted.
