Richard E. “Rick” Huntress Jr., 71, died Aug. 27 at his home in Haverhill after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A Navy veteran who served in Vietnam, Huntress was a carpenter and draftsman. Phyllis A. (Graham) Simpson, 71, died Aug. 27 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill with her family by her side. She was a waitress for more than 20 years at Mr. Mike’s in Haverhill until her retirement. Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 4- 6 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Burial is private.
